NYC Subway Line has been a beloved gift line for both New Yorkers and people who love NY for two decades! The brainchild of Lynne Lambert, an actor and mom, who traveled by subway to her work, the concept came to her when she was waiting at the Boro Hall subway platform in Brooklyn. She realized she had affection for those big green #4 and #5 train circles on the station signage, and wondered if others did too. She had a little boy turning 5 years old and wished she could get a #5 train shirt for all of his friends who would be doing the same that year, making her birthday present shopping easier! Or an “A” for Ali, or “D” for Daniel!

She couldn’t shake the idea so went to the MTA, got a license from them, and the rest is history. Shown on TV, movies and worn by celebrities as diverse as the Rapper Fabolous and President Clinton, the line has become a part of popular culture.

NYC Subway Line now includes not only tees, but hats, bags, wallets, tech sleeves, travel accessories, and even real map placemats. It’s a perfect gift line for New York aficionados from both here, across the country and abroad.
